How we got our name...
Most bands playing parties, weddings, corporate events etc., perform a similar repertoire to one another. We reckoned that people would enjoy hearing a band that does things differently. In the USA radio stations found 'left of the dial' - play mainly AOR (Album Oriented Rock) music - music not usually heard on the big commercial networks.
Although you're probably familiar with most of our repertoire, it's our decision not to play what other party bands play - We are aware that audiences are becoming increasingly disgruntled listening to the same old 'standards' trotted out night-after-night.
So there you have it... Left of the Dial are 'left of the dial' but certainly not off it!
